TANGO BOREAL: Tango Boreal mixes latin inspired creations - milonga, folk, waltz and tango - with symphonic masterworks. While Tango Boreal plays great tango classics, It is primarily a creative laboratory for original repertoire, where Piazzolla meets Debussy, where tango mingles with blues. With over 100 concerts last season, Tango Boreal is definitely one of the most in demand trio in North America! The group makes a stop at Lula Lounge as part of their 2012 world tour. Presented by Small World Music and Lula Music and Arts Centre.

At its core, Tango Boreal is the moving bandoneon of Denis Plante, broadening out its bellows like a magician tossing and catching a deck of cards, along with the sheer virtuosity of David Jacques on guitar & charango, grounded the engaged playing of Ian Simpson on the double bass.  On stage, they are having a great time, sharing comments and funny stories with the public, while offering a dazzling musical performance.
