Due to overwhelming popular demand, Lula will open its doors during the daytime to screen the 2010 World Cup games.
All 10am and 2pm games will be screened unless otherwise noted. (On June 14th, the 2pm game will be screened in the front room.)
Lula is busy hanging out the flags, hooking up the cable and testing the projector, big screen and sound system — all for Lula World Cup 2010, the biggest and most international party ever.
Starting June 11, Torontonians will come together to watch the biggest names of the world’s most popular sport — Drogba, Messi, Et’o, Kaka, Villa, Rooney — as these stars and their team mates determine sports history.
Lula Lounge will be presenting all the most popular competitions, including the final championship game to be held on Sunday July 11. Below is a list of the games that will be screened at Lula during the first couple of weeks of the Cup. Check back for updates!
Of course, no World Cup party is complete without food and drink. To enhance your cheering strength, Lula will offer a special brunch/lunch menu featuring latin american specialties such as arepas de heuvo, Colombian empanadas, Enrique’s pollo asado and Ihosvani’s famous Cuban black beans. Watch for drink specials from participating countries! What could be better than drinking a Margarita while watching Mexico play France or a Caipirinha while Brazil battles it out with Portugal?
Various well-known personalities from Toronto’s vibrant world music scene have been invited to Lula to watch key games in which their countries of origin are playing.
Join us to experience the games and discover with us the answers to these questions and more!
